Clothing:

• Tops: 4-5 t-shirts, 1-2 long-sleeved shirts (for sun protection and warmth), 1 sweatshirt/fleece
• Bottoms: 2-3 pairs of shorts, 1 pair of long pants/jeans, swimsuit (or two)
• Underwear & Socks: Enough for each day, plus a couple extra pairs
• Sleepwear: Pajamas or comfortable clothes for sleeping

• Backpack: To carry everything
• Sleeping bag: Rated for appropriate temperature
• Pillow: Small travel pillow or regular pillow
• Beach towel:  Oversized and quick-drying if possible
• Flashlight or headlamp: With extra batteries
• Water bottle: Reusable and large capacity
• Sunscreen: High SPF, waterproof
• Bug spray: With DEET or Picaridin
• Toiletries: Toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, etc. in a waterproof bag
• Small first-aid kit: Band-aids, pain relievers, antiseptic wipes
• Trash bags: For wet clothes and trash

Optional Items:

• Book or magazine: For downtime
• Journal and pen: To record memories
• Camera: Waterproof if possible
• Binoculars: For birdwatching or nature observation
